Turning Data into Insights, One Model at a Time

Bellandur, Bengaluru 560103
Hello, and welcome to my personal space on the web!
I am a Data Scientist working at an Indian E-Commerce platform by the Name of Meesho Pvt Ltd, where I am a part of team responsible for pricing. Previously, I have spent five years at IIT Bombay, where along with the multitude of Electrical and ML courses, I have had the fortune of conducting extensive research on a variety of projects (You can find more information on them in my CV/Résumé, or visit the CV section or my Google Scholar).
While my research primarily involved analysis of Generative Machine Learning Methods, lately I find myself involved in applications of Reinforcement Learning for metric-based Reward Updates. My general interests span Optimization, Deep Learning Fundamentals (interpretability, trainability and the like) and Control Systems.
I currently reside in Bangalore, India, though I hail from Pune, where I have attended my secondary and high school. I can speak English and Hindi (and Urdu, somewhat) fluently.
When I’m not immersed in code or datasets, you might find me serving on a tennis court, strategizing over a game of chess, enjoying a cricket match, or unwinding with my guitar or drums
In my free time, I:
- Like to go through the recent developements in Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning (or divulge in random discussions thereof)
- Surf youtube for tutorials or walk throughs on things I find interesting
- Have in depth conversations with people about life and its aspects : things that matter
- Watch light-hearted to dark comedy
- Hang out with friends
I am inclined towards calm and meaningful music, usually those associated with some events in my past. I like the nostalgia it brings with it. I have not considered having a favorite artist/band, but I usually end up listening to older songs, or ones that resonate with me.
I maintain a blog where I jot down both academic and non-academic articles/experiences that I find worthwhile as and when I get time. Although irregular, I keep adding tech and non-tech write-ups to it, as and when I find something worth recording.
Feel free to reach out if you have something interesting to say, or just say hi !
